Our usual block party was canceled this year so we enjoyed the day visiting friends and family. First we went to Mark and Kristy's house otherwise known as Mark the Goalie. We had the best smoked ribs, pork tender loin, and burgers. Kristy's aunt also made delicious salsa that was impossible to stop eating.
After an enjoyable time there we headed over to Dana's sister's house for dessert. I made some cheesecake bars with raspberries and blueberries. Surprisingly, they turned out pretty good. If you know me you know I don't cook or bake. I have a couple of things I can make well and that's about it. Thank goodness for my husband or else I would still be eating instant Mac & Cheese.
We had a good time at Marji's house. Our dog was able to come along. She gets so freaked out with the fireworks that we didn't want to leave her home alone. She had a fantastic time swimming in the pool and giving everyone a spray when she would shake off. I think everyone smelled like wet dog. :0
I couldn't help but miss Ryan. I thought about how much fun he would of had swimming with his cousins. I was wondering how he would have reacted to the fireworks. Would he have enjoyed them and wanted to see more or would he have hid his head and cried? Maybe he would have been long asleep by then. One thing is for sure, last night he had the best view and experienced the fireworks with pure pleasure. :)

I love your new page! It was great talking with you until my phone battery power was gone. Dan said "boy you talked to Lisa for a long time!" Hopefully we can get together before we get back to work. I have a feeling I will be exhasted after our trip and might just sleep that whole week :) Thanks for calling....You will be one of the first to know!
