My New Favorite Drink

There's a new drink in town and I absolutely love it.  It's Skinny Water! Don't ask me how water gets any more skinnier than it already is but the name says it all.  No calories, No sugar, No sodium, No guilt.  It's perfect for me.  I don't usually like flavored water.  Most of the time I buy it, take one drink, and hand it over to my husband to finish.  In true Lisa fashion I bought a few to try and this time I'm not sharing with my husband.  It taste great and it helps me to drink more water. I'm now drinking two 16.9 oz bottles of regular water and one bottle of Skinny Water per day.  That's a lot of water for me considering I use to barely finish one water bottle a day.  So far my favorite flavors are Goji Black Cherry, Acai Grape Blueberry, and Blue Raspberry.  Finally a water I don't have to force myself to drink.  You should give Skinny Water a try. =)

Almost There...

Borrowed from priceisright.com
I am so stinkin' proud of myself.  This past week I lost 3.4 pounds for a total of 37.8 pounds.  I just can't believe I'm 4.8 pounds away from my goal.  It's an incredible feeling to be gaining my life back.  I've finally realized that grief is not in charge of me and either is infertility or the always seductive hot fudge sundae.  I'm in charge of me!  37.8 pounds have been lifted off my shoulders and I'm lovin' it!  Yesterday,  my Jenny Consultant asked how I was going to celebrate my accomplishment and I didn't have an answer.  I had to come home and think about it.  Since I can't celebrate with a Love It size Coffee Lovers or Banana Caramel Crunch from Cold Stone, I decided on this little thing.  I don't know if I'll ever have the guts to wear it in public but I can model it for my husband around the house. :-)  The last time I wore a bikini like this was my high school years.  That was almost 20 years ago. Yikes!

Oh Where, Oh Where...

have my boobies gone?  The one problem with losing weight is that I've lost my chi-chis too.  They say it starts from the top and works its way down.  I'll have to agree with that.  The first thing to go was my chubby cheeks and then my knockers.  I was never huge big to begin with except for when I was pregnant and I don't think that counts.  Although my husband sure remembers it well.  I've been thinking that I might need a boob job before I start to resemble Kelly Ripa.  I wouldn't mind having her lean fit body but I'm not that comfortable without some sort of cleavage.

So here are my options:
1) Get pregnant again- That would be fantastic if only it was that easy
2) Get breast implants- Very expensive and painful.
3) Live with grape size fun bags that really aren't that fun!
4) Stuff bra and hope the stuffing doesn't fall out

Then one night I was watching The Real Housewives Bitches of Orange County and Gretchen had noticeably larger melons.  On the after show she was asked if she enhanced the girls.  She replied that she had with a fantastic bra from Victoria's Secret.  Within seconds I was on the computer doing some research.  Take a look here.  I now sport the Miraculous bra that increases my bee stings by 2 cup sizes.  I'm happy to announce that the milk jugs are back and it only cost me $43.50 on sale with free shipping.  You gotta love that, I know my husband does!

Weight Loss Update

You may recall sometime ago, I found a new BFF.  In case you don't remember you can click here.  Well, after all these months Jenny and I are still best friends.  So far she has helped me lose 34 pounds!  That's right, I'll say it again. 34 pounds!  I just weighed in yesterday.  I have about 9 more pounds to shed to reach my goal weight.  You might be wondering what I've been doing to lose so much weight and keep it off.  To begin, I'm very disciplined... most of the time.  I'm an emotional eater so when life sucks I rekindle my relationship with Cold Stone Creamery.  Thank goodness life has been pretty good.  More often than not I stick to the Jenny program and my 1200 calories a day.  It can't be done on diet alone so I started running with my father in law, Hans (a.k.a Running Buddy).  We run twice a week from his house to various places around town and back.  I think we average about 10 miles per week give or take.  The most we've ran in one day was 8 miles.  This past weekend I ran in my first 10K.  My father in law is a runner and has been running marathons for many years.  He's a good trainer and keeps me going.  After all I can't let a 70 year old man beat me.  Below are a few pictures of us at the 10K.  Oh, and did I mention that I got 2nd place for my age group.  I couldn't believe it.  I finished the race in 58:10.  Not bad for my first time out!

My New BFF

Borrowed from web
I know somewhere inside me a skinny bitch is trying to get out.  As my friend Laurie once said she shuts that bitch up with a cookie.  I've been shutting her up with Cold Stone, Double Chocolate Fudge Brownies with Walnuts, Ice Cream Cake, and any other junk food that comes my way or I go out of the way to get.  I feel like I'm becoming a slave to that skinny bitch so I finally decided to shut her up once and for all.

A little over a week ago my friend E suggested that I meet her friend Jenny.  I've heard that this health nut chick is pretty strict and expensive so I was somewhat wary of meeting her.  I'm a rule follower so that part wouldn't be difficult but I'm not really into buying friends.   E assured me that I would love her.  She was right, I absolutely adore her.  Jenny Rocks!  She has been teaching me how to stop my runaway emotional roller coaster eating, portion control the size of my palm (man, I wish my hands would grow bigger), as well as healthy habits.  It's amazing what that skinny bitch can do!  In one week I've lost 4.4 pounds.  I thought the scale in Jenny's office was busted so I came home and stepped on my own (butt naked of course) and I'll be damned it was the same amount.

Every Monday I'll meet at one of Jenny's many houses to weigh in, plan a menu, and chat about healthy eating.  I'm actually looking forward to Monday.  If you're interested you can meet Jenny too, maybe she'll become your new BFF.
