Write it on your heart that every day is the best day of the year. ~ Ralph Waldo EmersonDana and I had a wonderful day last Friday. It started off with lunch at MiMi's Cafe with Nurse Cathy. We were so excited to see her. Cathy and I e-mail but it's not the same as sitting down and enjoying someone's company. Cathy shared so many great stories with us. We laughed so hard that our cheeks hurt. After 3 hours we finally said our goodbyes. Nurse Cathy is so special to us because she was Ryan's nurse on the day we said goodnight.
Next, we were off to the Angel game. Dana's friend got free tickets and invited us to the game. The seats were terrific. We sat in the second row along the third base line between the third baseman and left fielder. The Angels played the Yankees and boy was there a lot of disappointed Yankee fans. The Angels were down by 5 but ended up winning 10 to 6 or something close to that. After the game we watched the Big Bang Fireworks. Overall it was a super day and the start of an excellent weekend.
So sweet! I'm glad that you have kept in touch with Nurse Cathy! That is so... special. You're right though, you can e-mail back and forth but it's just not the same as face-to-face! That must've been a touching day for all three of you! :)
