Over the past few weeks Dana has been busy replanting our front yard. Now he has moved onto the back. He thought it would be a good time to replace our back fence since our dog is six and has stopped digging and tearing up our plants. Before planting the backyard we needed to replace the back fence. It was old and falling over, besides the termites had nothing left to eat. We started early Friday morning taking down the old fence and getting ready for the new. Dana's dad, Hans came over to help us. Once the old fence was down they had to reset a post and hang new stringers (I think that's what they're called). Believe it or not it took all day. Hans returned early Saturday with Dana's step brother, Chris. They put up the new slats while I supervised. They called me the micro manager. I told them I had to because I was working with the Three Stooges. It was a fun time. After the boys left, Dana had to finish putting all the screws in the fence. It's just about complete and hopefully we'll be able to start planting next weekend. I'm pretty proud of Dana, he's becoming quite the handyman. Here are a few before and after pictures.
