Published in Book
My only hope is that Ryan is not forgotten. On June 2, I received a call from the head nurse of the Fontana Kaiser NICU. When the nurse told me who she was my heart skipped a few beats. In an instant I was brought back to the days when Ryan was in the hospital. Anytime we received a call from Kaiser we would practically have a heart attack. Anyway, I received this call from nurse Annette explaining that for Nurse's appreciation week a book was published to recognize the nurses in all departments for the outstanding job they do. Ryan's story was published for the NICU. Dana and I just couldn't believe it. We couldn't be more thrilled. Dana and I are just ordinary people, we didn't do anything special. It was the nurses, respiratory therapist, and doctors that made the difference. We are so appreciative of the job they did, caring and loving for our baby boy, around the clock. They were so attentive not only to Ryan's needs but also the needs of Dana and I. We are so happy they got the recognition they deserved and thankful that they saw how special our little guy was. It's a pleasure to know Ryan's memory is carried on. We are now waiting for a nurse that lives close by to get in contact with us. Then we will make arrangements to get the book. Once we have the book I will try to post it. Thank you Kaiser NICU for the wonderful care you gave our son.
