Summer Project # 1

Our first summer project was to get our house repiped.  Yesterday a whole team of men came and worked on repiping the house.  Each person had their specific job.  One guy was out front digging the trench to the main line at the sidewalk, another guy was working on the laundry room and new water heater, one guy was working on the kitchen and under the house, the final guy was working on the bathrooms.  They were a well oiled machine.  The job went as smooth as silk and they finished in one day.  The inspector came today and did a quick check of their work and cleared the job for the patchers to come.  Tomorrow morning the patchers will be here to repair the holes in the walls and the stucco on the outside of the house.  We have waited a long time to do this and were finally able to afford it.  It feels good to be able to check one major project off the list so early in the summer.  Our next project is remodeling our front bathroom.  My husband will be in the process of tearing it down to the studs very soon. Here's a few pictures of repipe day.

  2. All the holes got patched today, thank goodness. It was a little scary watching guys bust holes in my walls.
