Peace of Mind

Last week my grief counselor suggested that I try meditation to help relieve anxiety, stress, and poor sleep patterns. When she said this I looked at her like she was off her rocker. What is she trying to do? Turn me into some "new age hippie chick?" After further discussion I decided I would give it a try. After all it couldn't be any worse than the other stuff I've tried. The magnetic fertility bracelet, socks on and off, and standing on my head like a circus clown, just to name a few. Now I can be a magnetic bracelet wearing hippie chick with one sock on who occasionally stands on her head after sex. I don't see anything wrong with that, do you?

Anyway, I took my counselor's advice and spent the better half of the weekend on the computer searching high and low for a meditation program that would be right for me. By the Great Horn Spoon, I found the perfect one for me. Click below to learn more about it.

This researched based program is designed to help reduce stress while connecting your mind and body. It's an easy to follow guided visualization program that only takes about 15 minutes per day. I purchased and downloaded the IVF/IUI Program because that's where I'm at in the process of TTC. Circle + Bloom also offers other programs such as Natural Fertility Cycle, Healthy Pregnancy, and Energy.

So far I have used the program for 3 nights and I really love it. It is so relaxing and I've been sleeping much better. I don't know if it's helping with my fertility or not but I'll let you know if it does. You can click below to read more about the program I'm using and others. Maybe it can help you have a peace of mind too? If you have used this program or others I would love to hear your thoughts.

  3. We have really tried that. A friend told us about it so we said what the heck. It didn't work but we had a lot of laughs.

  4. that sounds really interesting- and hey, it can't hurt. i am reading a book called "savor"- which is based on buddhist beliefs- it mostly deals with food and emotional eating, but it focuses on being in the "present" and ways to handle anxiety, anger, and other emotions instead of eating over them. i am finding it super helpful- got if for my kindle, actually. haha. i am interested to see how this goes- keep us updated! (((hugs)))
