This year I was finally able to convince Dana to take a real vacation. By real I mean not a couple days in Vegas trip. I wanted to go to Hawaii but since we just spent $16,ooo.00 on IVF Dana said firmly, "NO WAY! Are you crazy?" So I thought long and hard of a place we could go that would not cost so much. Then it hit me at 4:00 in the morning. I woke up with the idea of going to Zion National Park, UT. I headed to the computer and did all the research for hotels, driving directions, and sites to see. By the time Dana's alarm went off at 6:30 a.m. I was standing at the bedside with a packet of papers neatly stapled of everything a person ever wanted to know about Zion. Dana mulled over the papers for the next few days and finally agreed we could go. Our original plan was to visit Zion and Bryce but Bryce was having bad weather so we only stayed in Zion. Utah is such a beautiful state. Everywhere we looked was like looking at a postcard. The trails we hiked were Emerald Pools, Angel's Landing, Riverside Walk, Weeping Rock, Hidden Canyon, Canyon Overlook, and Watchman Trail. We also spent part of an afternoon in Kolob Canyon. Dana and I couldn't get enough of it and can't wait to go back. We have more hiking trails to conquer.

Is this Spring Break or Winter Break? Playing in the snow in Kolob Canyon.

We stayed at Flanigan's and next door was our favorite place to eat, the Spotted Dog Cafe.

I'm so glad your trip wen so well! I love all the pictures.I would like to go on a vacation like this, but I don't like hiking.
